Marc Jolin

Marc Jolin is a Full Professor in the Department of Civil and Water Engineering at Université Laval, Canada and an active member of CRIB (Research Centre on Concrete Infrastructures).He has obtained his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia in 1999. He is a member of the American Shotcrete Association (ASA); chair of the American Concrete Institute committees 506, Shotcreting and an active member of the C660 committee on Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification. He is responsible for the creation and the development of one of the very few university laboratories that focuses on shotcrete technology in the world. In constant development since 1999, this unique laboratory is the starting point of fundamental research on shotcrete as well as some of the state-of-the-art development in terms of shotcrete equipment and mixture design.

Actual research interests

  • Shotcrete, rheology and special concretes, ready-mix concrete production, durability and repairs.
