Andrew Boyd

Prof. Boyd holds a bachelors degree from the University of New Brunswick, a masters from the University of Toronto, and a PhD from the University of British Columbia. He has served on the faculty at McGill University since September of 2006. Prior to that, he taught at the University of Florida from 2000 to 2006. Dr. Boyd is a registered professional engineer in New Brunswick, Canada and was named a Fellow of ACI in 2008. He currently chairs the nondestructive testing committees of both ACI and ASTM.

Actual research interests

  • Research interests include durability of construction materials, physical and mechanical properties, nondestructive testing & evaluation, standards & specifications, repair & rehabilitation, recycling, hazardous waste reduction & mitigation, and service life prediction.
